Almost 2012 but still saturday 2011:/

Stuck in 2011 for an other hour or so went out to Flushing, NY Today to browse get some grocery's and enjoy a long bus ride.I picked up some food items to make soup got Long Napa,Daikon,Carrot,Enoki Mushrooms,Knoxx Shrimp Stock Seasoning,Ginger,Cuttlefish Balls that is my basic list for hot pot using the Knoxx shrimp seasoning is a first normally I use chicken or seaweed for stock in my soup or hot pot.

Christina and me walked around the shopping mall getting grocery's and visiting
big chain stores like Marshal's and Target.

We also went around the neighborhood to see what is new and old in Flushing.
About Flushing it is a very aggressive place to live and the energy is high here crowded with Chinese and Korean and Spanish people make this place cheap to eat out and gives you all kinds of options to shop but people here shove for the subway or on the overcrowded sidewalks and watch out for old people stealing your seat in the bakery cafe's if you get up for a fucking napkin!!

We got bubble tea at Chatime it was buy one get one free so we had red bean turned out to be pretty good and affordable I guess it's a big chain in Taiwan

Christina and me went to eat at a Chinese joint we have been to a couple of times service was so bad the tip I left was .45 cents yup that bad but food was good:)
Christina had fish ball soup and I had rice served with roast duck and roast pork.

Welcome to my apartment

The one with no Christmas lights:/

Last Friday in 2011

Today turned out to be good

Anne my boss made me a salad and brought it over after my shift it was a spinach salad with grapes, green apple's, cherry's goat cheese etc it was yummy and healthy then I had a slice of pizza she gets free all the time cause the owner of a pizza place adopted a dog from her and he brings the dog over to visit her and play with the other dogs.

After the hotel I went out to Union Square got 4gb disk drive on sale for $5.99
to back up some of the photos on this computer that are slowing it down :(

I took the L to Graham avenue and went to El Burrito cheap Cali style Mexican food
got Got rice and beans with sour cream and a ginger ale $4.07 and had it served in a glass bowl :)

Came home did some dish's went out to Blockbuster got some movies and popcorn
ready to call it a night waiting for Christina to come home she is out with
her friend I miss her at the moment and my Guinea pigs are all sleeping :(

The heart of a Banana:/

Jackson Heights, Queens

Today we went to Jackson Diner and Maharaja Sweets & Snacks, Alot of food and alot of walking well people do last minute shopping and dealing with the cold weather today turned out to be a good day Had Indian Buffet and Indian baked goodies and finding the second location for Kung Fu tea under the 7 train was exciting!! Jackson Heights is affordable tons of stores and a good mix of Halal, Spanish, Ecuadorian and Indian food.

Also came across the best art and craft supply store G C Stationery google that and check it out cool store think Michael's with out all the tacky flowers and baskets and less walking and affordable.

We wanted to goto Jahn's a Diner that was an ice cream parlor in 1897 became a chain of 30 locations in NY and Florida now this is the last standing store in Jackson Heights we will go back there on a weekend the special offers a drink, soup or salad and dessert with a entree for $10.95 match's the $10.95
Indian Buffet specials from noon to 4pm.

Oh I spotted My first Blue Jay in Queens, NY today it was very noisey for being a pretty bird!! I see red Cardinal's in spring and can identify there sound ha just read this about Blue Jay's on Wikipedia The bird's name derives from its noisy, garrulous nature,[1] and it sometimes also called a "jaybird".[2]

Christina got me some Kaju Katli - Indian sweet made with cashew, milk and sugar with edible silver foil:) Got some pink Cham Cham no clue how it tastes yet but looks pretty:)
